2011 Hyundai Sonata 2.0T

Hyundai’s sixth generation Sonata has more than a few tricks up its sleeve, most notable being the direct-injection, turbocharged engine option. Available on Sonata SE and Limited, the turbo engine replaces the V-6 power option. Virginia Hyundai has more information on the 2011 Hyundai Sonata 2.0T.

At the heart of the 2.0T is a 2.0-liter, direct-injection, turbocharged, four-cylinder engine producing 274 horsepower and 269 lb.-ft. of torque. The twin-scroll turbocharger allows the Sonata to achieve two power benchmarks that best many competitors: 137 horsepower per liter of engine displacement and a power-to-vehicle-weight ratio of 1:12.2 (horsepower to pounds). Visit Hyundai dealers Virginia for more details about the 2011 Hyundai Sonata 2.0T.

Power is delivered to the front wheels through a six-speed automatic transmission with manual shift mode. The transmission was developed by Hyundai in-house and is simpler and lighter than the five-speed it replaces and features lifetime fluid. To enhance performance, the transmission’s eight solenoid valves are calibrated at the factory to ensure fast, smooth and precise shifts.
