First Look - 2009 Hyundai Genesis

The Hyundai Genesis is one of the most anticipated vehicles from the Korean automaker. Hyundai has come a long way in recent years, offering high-quality, reliable, affordable vehicles that are backed by impressive warranties. But the Genesis is a very different type of vehicle as it’s the automaker’s first large luxury sports sedan. Although some potential car shoppers may not think of Hyundai as a luxury automaker, Hyundai is determined to change the way consumers perceive their brand.

Under the hood of the Hyundai Genesis is an available 4.6-liter V8 engine that offers plenty of power, and is on par with the V8 powerplants from BMW and Mercedes – at least on paper. Between ample power, loads of features, and attractive styling, the Genesis promises to be a strong contender in Hyundai’s attempt to market itself as an up-and-coming luxury brand.

Pricing for the Hyundai Genesis is expected to start at $33,050 for the 290 horsepower V6 model. The V8 powered Genesis runs about another $5,000 more. Compared with the makes that Hyundai is setting its sights on, such as the BMW 5-series, the Hyundai offers a very attractive option. Hyundai Hartford suggests that the pricing will make it especially attractive considering the the current economy.

Among the array options that luxury car buyers can choose from with the Hyundai Genesis are a six-speed automatic transmission, stylish upholstery, heated front seats, Bluetooth connectivity, and a powerful 15-speaker sound system. Buyers can also opt to have a 17-speaker audio system with DVD changer, XM satellite radio, an iDrive-like control system, navigation, and cooling seat for the driver.

Hyundai has made the Genesis with plenty of room on the inside, a crucial requirement for the luxury segment according to Connecticut Hyundai dealers. The Genesis is also plenty quiet on the inside, without an intrusion of noise or vibrations within the interior.

The Hyundai Genesis is a bold experiment as its Hyundai’s first foray into the crowded and competitive luxury segment. Thanks to the vehicle’s aggressive styling and high value, there should be plenty of frugal buyers who want a large premium sedan without the sky-high price.

Hyundai Genesis Coupe Makes Big Impression at SEMA

Hyundai made quite the impression with the launch of the luxurious Genesis sedan, and it made an equally large impression with the powerful, sporty Genesis coupe. Now to further its performance image, Hyundai will have a huge presence at the SEMA show in Las Vegas.

Last year Hyundai tuned plenty of heads at SEMA, and this year used Hyundai New York dealers say there will be some exciting aftermarket tuners gearing up to showoff their latest goods. One California based tuner, GReddy, will display a 350 horsepower Genesis with the addition of a turbo charger cat-back exhaust. The car also received an intercooler and naturally features upgraded performance-tuned suspension and brakes.

But of course is wouldn’t be a SEMA show car without numerous aesthetic modifications asserts Virginia Hyundai dealers. In that regard, the Hyundai Genesis from GReddy doesn’t disappoint. With loads a carbon fiber, racing seats, and upgraded gauges, the Genesis looks like a natural when it’s modified with high-performance attitude.

All parts and components seen on the GReddy Hyundai Genesis will be available for consumers to purchase, which will no doubt appease customers at Hyundai Financing New York and other dealers. It was only a matter of time before tricked-out Genesis coupes began taking to the streets, and with GReddy’s components, that isn’t a bad thing.
